Terms of service

1. What you are buying

You are buying a licence to use a piece of software. You are not buying the software itself, and you are not buying its source code unless the product page says the source is included.

The licence is personal and perpetual. It does not expire, it does not renew, and nothing has to check in with a server for the tool to keep running.

2. What you may do with it

• Install and run it on any machine you own or control.
• Use it for personal work and for commercial work.
• Keep your own backup copies.
• Modify it for your own use.

3. What you may not do with it

• Resell it, sublicense it, rent it, or give copies to people who did not buy it.
• Publish it, in whole or in part, anywhere others can download it.
• Strip out or hide the licence and copyright notices.

If a specific product is released under an open-source licence, that licence wins over this section for that product. The product page will say so plainly.

4. Price and payment

Prices are shown in US dollars on the product page, in full, before you pay. Card payments are processed by Stripe. OpusMill never receives, sees, or stores your card number.

There are no subscriptions here and nothing renews automatically. You will never be charged again for something you already bought.

5. Delivery

Delivery is a download link, shown on screen as soon as payment clears and sent again by email. Nothing is posted to you. If the link does not arrive within one hour, email us and it will be resent.

6. Refunds

The refund policy is on its own page and forms part of these terms: read the refund policy. In short: if the tool does not do what the page said it would, you get your money back.

7. What is promised, and what is not

Each tool is promised to do what its product page says it does, on the platforms that page lists. If it does not, that is a refund.

Beyond that, the software is provided as it is. It is not promised to be free of bugs, to suit any particular purpose you have in mind, or to keep working after you change your operating system. Test it on something you can afford to break before you rely on it.

8. Limit of liability

If something goes wrong and it is our fault, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for the tool in question.

We are not liable for lost data, lost profit, lost time, or other knock-on losses. Keep backups. This limit does not apply to anything the law does not allow us to limit, such as death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.

9. Support

Support is by email, from a person, and is best-effort. There is no guaranteed response time, but the aim is two working days. Support covers getting a tool you bought to work. It does not cover writing your code for you.

10. Changes to these terms

These terms may change. The version that applies to your purchase is the version published on the day you bought. Changes are not applied backwards.

11. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of Singapore, and the courts of Singapore have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this does not take away the rights your own local consumer law gives you.
